Grants and Funding: Nurse Focused

The mission of the ONS Foundation is to improve cancer care and the lives of people with cancer by funding oncology nursing research, scholarships, awards, and educational programs.

APHON members are eligible to apply for grants for Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) projects and for Research projects that address the clinical practice of hematology/oncology nursing.

American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. Awards up to nine grants annually, with awards ranging from $1,500 to $50,000.

ANNA offers a variety of research grants and awards. Membership in the association is required.

ANF provides funds to beginner and experienced nurse researchers to conduct studies that contribute toward the advancement of nursing science and the enhancement of patient care. Awards are given in all areas of nursing, including healthy patient outcomes, health care policy development, critical care, gerontology, women’s health, community and family intervention.

APNA awards research grants to enhance scientific contributions advancing the knowledge and practice of psychiatric-mental health nursing. APNF established these awards to seed new investigators who are beginning their research careers and will award up to four (4) individual grants of up to $5,000 per award. As such, priority will be given to investigators who are early in their research trajectories and who have not previously had major intra- or extramural funding.

Professional development scholarships to help nurses maintain competency and to ensure safe and high-quality care through select education programs.

Offers funding opportunities in geriatric nursing.

Provides fellowships to support registered nurses currently employed or interested in hemophilia care to conduct nursing research or clinical projects. Endorsement by a federally funded hemophilia treatment center is recommended.

NINR invites applications containing innovative ideas and sound methodology in all aspects of nursing research consistent with the focus of health promotion and disease prevention, quality of life, health disparities, and end-of-life. NINR is part of NIH.
