The NIH provides several sample data management and sharing plans for a variety of data types, research domains, and institutes and centers. These examples are not meant to be used as templates but rather as references to the types of details and level of specificity that a researcher can include in his or her plan. They do not reflect institution-specific approaches which can/should be posed to the Office of Research and Project Administration, your grant manager, or other relevant MSK resources.

The Working Group on NIH DMSP Guidance has also provided a sample annotated DMP in the NIH 2023 Format, as well as a searchable database of example DMS Plans (below).
