Quality Improvement (QI)

PLAN

Goal: To explore dissemination options. For example, presenting at a national meeting, publishing in a journal, or submitting to a QI project repository.

Resources

PubsHub - https://libguides.mskcc.org/pubshub

PubsHub is a "comprehensive and up-to-date research engine for identifying and comparing medical journals and scientific congresses". It can help you quickly identify appropriate journal contenders to publish your research in, international and national conferences to present your findings at, and professional associations you may benefit from joining (or that might sponsor QI training programs, QI project repositories, etc.).

Bringing together a variety of data points, metrics, and links to relevant external information, PubsHub is a one-stop resource where you can plan and map out your QI dissemination strategy. Users can search by keywords (like "quality"), by "Therapeutic Areas" (available options related to QI are Patient Safety, Quality Assurance, Health Services Research), by "Readership", or other options.

PubsHub "Congresses" records include useful planning details like poster abstract submission deadlines and information about whether and where the meeting/conference abstracts (that are generally peer-reviewed) will be published or indexed after the meeting.
