ASPR’s Health Care Readiness Programs help hospitals, health care facilities, and health care syste​​ms across the country overcome the complex challenges associated with disaster health care by providing coordinated, life-saving care and broadening the resources available during a disaster or public health emergency.

ASPR TRACIE Topic Collections highlight key resources under specific health and medical preparedness topics. What makes these collections unique is that all resources were vetted by members of the ASPR TRACIE Subject Matter Expert Cadre. Collections include the most robust and most useful peer-reviewed and other public and privately developed materials (e.g., fact sheets, technical briefs, articles, toolkits, webinars, and plans) helpful to stakeholders in improving healthcare system preparedness and resilience.

The Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) monitors current events and regularly activates its emergency response plan. The plan includes releasing complimentary education and resources to help clinicians treat critically ill and injured patients, respond to patient surges, and implement resource allocation strategies. Materials are specific to the emergency at hand, including hurricanes, earthquakes, terrorist attacks, and other man-made and natural disasters.
