You can read through EGA's instructions on sequence data submission with accompanying screenshots in their detailed guide. The following steps are the essential items you need to know for submission:
Get your submission account
Create your EGA user, which needs to be verified by the Help Desk team. Once verified, request your submission account, and provide details about your data type and platform(s) in your submission
Register your Study
Use the Submitter Portal to register your study, samples, Data Access Committee (DAC) and Policy.
Upload data
Register experiments and runs
Associate each data file to a register sample and study by linking your files to sample. You must provide details of the experimental procedures you followed.
Finalize your submission
Group your runs and analysis into datasets, and link them to a new or existing DAC/policy using the DAC Portal. Data request are done at a dataset level, so all files within a dataset must share release conditions.
Release and admin
When finalizing the submission, set a release date to instruct the Help Desk to release your study. All registered studies are automatically placed on hold until the named submission or DAC contact instructs the Help Desk to release the study.
Array-based data submissions do not require a submitter portal account.
Get your submission account
Fill in the submission form provide details of the data type and platform(s) in your submission
Register Study/DAC
Use EGA Programmatic submission to register your study, samples, Data Access Committee (DAC), and Policy
Upload data
Encrypt your data files using the EgaCryptor and upload it using default FTP clients or Aspera.
Complete the Array-Format (AF) spreadsheet
Download the AF spreadsheet and complete all four sections. Return the spreadsheet to the EGA Help Desk
Release and Admin
Instruct the Help Desk to release your study. All registered studies are automatically placed on hold until the named submission or DAC contact instructs the Help Desk to release the study.
